Do you have plans for follow-up on this study?
This stream reconnaissance study is the first of several nationwide efforts by the USGS Toxic Substances Hydrology Program to determine how prevalent organic wastewater contaminants are in our Nation's water resources. Sampling has already been completed from a set of susceptible ground-water sites (56 sites in 17 states) and a network of sources of drinking water (76 sites in 27 states). In addition, future research will be conducted to better understand the fate, transport and effects of these compounds in the environment. Stay tuned to this web page.
